my cherokee wont start please help me

Default my cherokee wont start please help me

i have an 89 4wd 6 cyl and it was running fine yesterday but now it wont start when u turn the key the starter doesnt turn over and start it im pretty sure that the ignition lock switch isnt the probelm what do u suggest that i do ive tried hitting the starter with a hammer to see if it was jammed but it didnt do anything

A multiple of things could b wrong. Battery couldn't dead, engine seized, wiring, bad fuse...

Maybe same as me? Crankshaft positioning sensor?? Mine would crank but no start

Auto? Did you try moving the shifter around? Do a forum search for neutral safety switch. You need to supply more information if you want help. Did you check the battery and terminals? ....etc....

i checked my battery tabs and they are hooked up
i just drive it 490 miles in the past few days and now its not starting when i turn the key...
what are some things u think i should check

my lights come on on my dashboard so that means my igniton is working

Unplug your map sensor and clean the connector and plug it back in.

Your map sensor is located a the very back of the engine bay on the firewall, it will be a green connector.
