Im gonna be needing a new exhaust this summer so i was wondering what you guys like muffler wise. I have been looking at rustys kit w/ the Flowmaster 40 but i dont want to pay for his shipping rates. I will most likely go with something from the local auto parts store. I dont think they sell flowmaster but they sell thrush, magnaflow, dynomax, and cherry bomb. SO muffler wise im pretty mush open to anything but i want it to sound agressive and mean. For a tail pipe i will just have just get one up at the auto parts store or have one bent at a muffler shop.

What do you guys like muffler wise?

Btw. I dont want to spend to much so no stainless pipes/cat back kits.

I've got Dynomax bullets on my truck, and had them on my old Trans Am. I like em. They're cheap, they flow well, and definitely increase the volume quite a bit.

I'm thinking about changing the exhaust on my truck and taking one of the bullets and putting it on the Jeep. I'll let ya know how it turns out.

flo-pro. Looks like a FM but not obnoxious. Nice rumble at idle and you can hear it on acceleration. No drone at speed. It's well built too. Got mine at performancepeddler.com (Motown automotive in GR) Give them a call and tell them what you need. By the way they are about $40 !!!!

x2 Ran them on My Camaro, My old yota, nissan, and mazda, Jeep is getting one when I redo my pipe from the downpipe back in a few weeks. It is by far my favorite muffler out there, cause you CAN keep them quiet if you need to, but they scream when your on it, And the fact they're like $31 a piece from Summit or Jegs

I got a glasspack and stock cat on mine now (previous owner) and its so quiet

I personally am going to be using the Dynomax Bullet style muffler on mine when I do my exhaust. I have the muffler on 2 different inline 6 rigs and the sound is extreemly great. A low deep tone, and the top end doesn't sound like a 4 cylinder.

if you want agressive go with the flowmaster 40...its loud and obnoxious...

i wouldnt waste any money on another tail pipe unless i needed it...your not going to get anything out of it unless you replace the cat with a high flow cat, and muffler, and the tailpipe...

if it were me...i would do the flow 40...and leave it at that...

and dont buy that rustys kit...lol

i have the magnaflow short body and it sounds good. it has a mean rumble at idle. going down the city roads there is a low drone, but on the highway you dont hear it even though it is pushing the same RPMs. on acceleration it is way loud, but not annoying!
