Lol, I don't really care man. As far as I'm concerned, someone else took a saw to you exhaust and hacked it out without your knowledge...

i just took off my muffler, left the cat for legal issues even tho its shot. But i took a 90 degree pipe and a 1 foot long one and just shot my exhaust out the side. Its really not loud, i do not know what people are talking about the loud noise for. Sounds sick at idle. I still plan on getting a super 44.

down fall to not having a cat is the smell, and if you have a 96 or later cherokee it will pop a check engine light. but there is no operational downfall to not having a cat other then the smell and added CO2 to the atmosphere.

The rule about the Catalytic Converter is that you can not ask advice or brag about removing your cat/ or bypassing it. as long as you are not removing it yourself, or informing other how to remove/bypass it, then it is fine to talk about it. it is fine to talk about the effects of what a broken cat is, and what goes on when there is not cat, as long as you are not talking about removing/bypassing it yourself. if you have questions about smog/cat laws, please refer to google and look up your state law. even if your state does not require a catalytic converter, it is still against forum policy to discuss removal of it.

I have noticed that my cherokee tends to get about two mpg better than similar setups... About 21 mpg without the cat. I also have better engine breathing, as I've noticeed that the rpms drop down to idle much quicker than other jeeps. It's kinda racey, to tell the truth. At idle, it sounds like my jeep is just growling, albeit very lowly and fairly quiet. It's really not that loud, but at 4-5 grand on the tach, it gets loud in the cab. I would only change it to put on a cat and a flowmaster or something. I don't know why the PO put two glasspacks on, but the sound is very unique.

Pwned, noober. Lol, no hard feelings, I just read the rules very carefully when I got here.
If you guys want to talk more in depth about the exhaust system, then private message me. I won't hold anything back when I'm talking about cars in private. Heck, I think you might have friended me already 94Cherokee, so just hit me up.
