2.5" pipe. A Catco converter and a DynoMax Super Turbo muffler.

Sounds good, nice tone at idle and an even better rumble once the TB opens up. I also have a Mopar CAI on it so that effects the sound as well.

I have a Banks header, Magnaflow High-flow cat, and Magnaflow catback SS. I have had it for about 3 years and like it very much. More quiet than stock, unless I want you to know, and sounds very nice from a distance. I have a vid of what it sounds like in cab from a rolling start........

Well see where i live, i have no emission's test, so the cat is gonna be cut off, ive still got a set of good 40-series mufflers (2.5 in-out) so i do believe ill be taking one of em down to the guy i have do my exhaust work and have him redo it all in 2.5" pipe and throw the 40 to it. Anyone have any pics of tail pipes diffrent from stock straight out the back?

i want to put 2.5" on my 4.0L...cut the cat and weld in a new melo-tone muffler and kick it out in front on the passenger side rear tire with dual 3" x 24" SS tips at a 45 degree angle so the tips line up with the body...think itll sound good? never seen it done...anyone have expierence?

i just did mine yesterday... header... 2.5in pipe... spun hi flow converter (ebay $50 shipped)... single chambler muffler... not as loud as with just the muffler... no cat... and cut off under the pass seat but loud enough i guess... they took forever trying to get the 01 header to curve down right and clear everything but its good to go... wish we could fit duals under these things... theres on in town with duals... but its 2x4 so he dont wheel...

i think i know a way to do the duals on a 4x4...i was lookin at it myself and if you ran it right under the TCase and run it out in front of the rear tires it would work...right? or is there an issue with it that im not seeing?

loosing bout 3in of ground clearance under the middle of the jeep... thats what would happen... only way without loosing clearance is turn downs under the jeep... but then whats the point of duals... lol...you could exit them out of the body somewhere... but not worth the trouble....

Dont think so. You would want to run duals out of the muffler not off the header.

2.5" pipe from the manifold to a Magnaflow hi-flow cat, then a flowmaster 40series. then 2.5" to the back bumper..

I recently went with a Flowmaster Super 44 offroad muffler. Sounds nice and throaty at low idles and when accelerating, but not too loud at highway speeds. I could hear my tires over the muffler on the highway before I got a different set. It's also heavier duty so it'll last through the rocks. If you search Youtube, you'll find a couple videos with soundclips.
