i have an 89 jeep cherokee and i bought some panels to cover up the rusted out panel the site said that this could be slipped over the old one dident say i had to cut the old ones out?? it appears there is a 2 inch gap between the new rocker and where the bottom of the door meet passenger front u would think they fit right over the old ones and lock right in just about or maybe they need to be rivited on some what before they hug the frame better and fit tighter over the old ones i ordered them from jc watson lol i have no idea whats the best way to mount em i hear i could get em welded anyone else have a problem like this when repairing rocker panels

one of my freinds had started trimming them without me and trimmed both and thought they where on right but i figured out they were on backwards one side of the panel gets alil wider sticks out alil further i noticed thats why they dident fit tight seemed to be a gap
