Default Muffler advice

I currently have a Flowmaster muffler on my 98 xj sport and it sounds good but I want it louder. Does anyone know a fairly cheap alternative to a header that will keep the sound but make it louder? Advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Generally speaking, the smaller/shorter the muff case, the louder. Measure what u have and Google muffs to find something smaller.

Smaller and shorter seem counter productive when searching for fresh muffs.

If you want it louder, you can always do a downspout after the muffler and take out the tailpipe. That does make a big difference in sound. However, you should consider the pros and cons of it before pulling the trigger.
