muffler

so for 2.25 piping would you have to buy a muffler with 2.5 in and outlets so the pipe slips in? im confused

haha noob ques yea but the idiot at pepboys was like yea yea u need 2.5 and i went with it but then i figured it out so went back today and get the right size

I'm only picking on yeah,rule number 1 dont ever think those idiot counter monkeys really have a clue.Like Trs80 said Muffler's and such are ID. The pipe would be OD. So a 2.5 inch opening on a muffler(I.D) ,will take 2.5 inch pipe to fit (O.D).
