Mud Flaps: why does nobody make them for XJ’s?

This is bizarre. I can’t find mud guards/flaps for a stock XJ anywhere. Yeah I know it’s been out of production for a long time but I can find mud guards for old cars all over the internet but not an XJ. Anyone have any examples of DIY rubber ones?

I found mine in a junkyard. Made a big difference in keeping the mud and crap off of the rockers, which in turn keeps the same off of my pants
What you need to do is get in touch with WeatherTec and convince them to start producing them. After all, they seem to be making everything else these days.
Now if you had access to a 3D printer.....

Wow didn’t think of that. I own a Ender 3D Pro I got for free that’s still new in the box.

Nothing wrong with being an "OEM Guy". Thing is, you MIGHT get lucky and find a used set somewhere online for sale. Other than that, your best option is to custom make a set from "sheet rubber". Our rigs have not been made here since 2001, so options to just buy are becoming scarce. Good luck.

I just saw that 3D scanners are under $1k now. I actually might have OE guards scanned and 3D printed. I have an acquaintance that runs a 3D printing side business who could rip out a ton of these in short order. Talk about a niche business. There is one guy on eBay that wants $200 for a full set. Might be worth the cost if I can sell sets I’d them for a reasonable price.

I had a set of these on a WJ that were larger than the factory mudflaps and worked pretty well. Keeps the ice/snow/road salt down. Got them at Farm & Fleet (or Fleet Farm depending on your location)

I've been curious about the 3D printer route as well, but I was waiting for prices to come down a bit.
