Wrong thread title, should be MSD-6A
Has anyone here done this? I would bet my right arm that at least one of you has. I have had this AL6 sitting here for a couple of years now and I would like to use it, even if it does nothing, I still want to put it on because my late dad gave it to me and maybe it will magically solve my cold off-idle stumbling..
Any writeups? I have new plugs and wires, but they are 7mm wires, will they suffice until I can find some bigger ones? And I assume gap the plugs to .045, maybe even .055?

Well, guess I should update my own thread.. even know I am pulling it from the dead..
I installed the MSD 6A box over the weekend, along with a new MSD coil and Accel 8mm wires, and I gapped my plugs to .045
First impression is that there was an improvement to throttle response, seems to have a bit more torque all around, and a smoother idle..
I mainly wanted a boost in MPG, so far I have not seen an improvement in MPG but I haven't even gone through a 1/4 tank since the install, so only time will tell.
I probably wouldnt have bought the unit if I had to, but it was given to me and just sitting around so I figure'd I'd give it a try.

it's really straightforward following the wiring diagram that comes with it. there are only 6 wires.. Hot, GND, and then you cut your coil wire and use the wiring diagram to do the rest.
