OR GO GO GADGET FIX ENGINE. HAHA

I would pull it out and take to machine shop and bore it out, polish or cut crank and rebuild. from the looks it should be fine to rebuild with new pistons.

The 02 sensor is on the exhaust manifold, if you dont replace it just clean it.

yes i have been known to be a smart ***...two days? good luck. probably quicker to just buy another long block....thats what i would do. 4.0s around here are a dime a dozen...but i dont know your tools/time/space/cash/knowledge situation either.

"rings and rod bearings" use to be done in the old days. (are these them again?) Gotta' remove the ridge with a ridge reamer. Hone the cyls. You are not messen' with the wrist pins, just new rings. Instal matching rod bearing inserts.

Pour kerosine or diesel in the ports with it dry, (with them up), look for even seepage. Got one pissen? Might need another valve. Exhaust valves "slump" at the edge, or crack first.

Since you want to change the valve stem seals, (that come in the head gasket set), you can lap the valves with valve grinding compound, a short section of fuel line (clamped on the valve stem), and a drill. Gently, going both ways. Not too much. Clean, clean, clean! Might consider a new oil pump.

My .o2! Yea...other things come up!
