No torque setting. The nut they provide will not back off. Just should be snug to were you would start to torque it. I even backed it a half turn from there. I think the other poster is right over time it smooth's out. Mine is hardly noticeable. (might be so used to it also).

I've had the brown dog mounts for about 10K. There are vibes, no way around it. Less rubber and more metal than stock mounts, and the rubber is a harder compound.

toaster, while I can't comment on BD rubber mounts since I have the poly's and the poly's definitely give it more of a "big truck" feel, may I suggest contacting BD directly if you have concerns. I'm certain they'd be willing to help. They're a top-notch company IMO.

I just got off the phone with them actually. They reccomend changing the trans mount which I'm still waiting on parts for then call again if I am having any more issues.

I just put a pair in a couple weeks ago. I think how much vibration somebody can tolerate is just a personal thing. I actually got my set free because my BFF (can guys use this term) put them in and immediately took them back out due to the vibration. They vibrate for me too but doesn't bother me at all.

Fan OK?
Just curious? The last time I had a vibration like you describe a chunk was missing from one of the cooling fan blades. The first time it happened to me I thought I had blown up a ford inline six engine. I lifted the hood and found one of the metal fan blades had broken off and stabbed into the underside double wall of the hood.

The fan was fine when I replaced the clutch last week. So I don't think that's the problem. The vibration is mostly just at idle and gets worst when put in gear at idle but goes away cruising down the highway.

Clutch?
Did it start after you changed the clutch? I can't count how many times I have ended up with a new pressure plate that was bad because of springs or balance. But this will usually bounce the pedal also.
More than likely just the mount like you say, I noticed yesterday I will have to change mine soon.

I replaced my motor mounts with stock mounts from O'reilly's about 6 months ago. No vibration at all that I could notice. Of course one of the original mounts was completely disintegrated and putting new ones on actually smoothed out my ride.
