motor mod
i was wondering if it would be worth it to rebuild my motor and make it into a stroker. and put a turbo on it. i have the money. but will it be able to handle it without messing anything else up?

Turbo powered engine can be massive torque and HP increases.
I would tend to think that your going to get into body flex issues.
It always make me wonder why someone wants to screw up one the most reliable engines ever built. But if it was me and I wanted more HP, I would optimized what you have then consider the stroker option. Jeeps have enough problems with heating without adding 150 to 200HP to mix to keep cool.
Interesting page I stumbled on.

Engine: Check
Trans, if maunal, the clutch won't hold long. It just won't. If you are auto, you'll cook the torque converter, or just implode the trans alltogether.
Motor mounts should be replaced, depending on how much power you make.
Those, and subframe connectors are the first few things that come to mind. There would be more.

If you have the money to turbo, you'll have the money to keep the motor cool.
I'm not holding my breath on that one. lol

Exactly. Turbos are great for the extra power. Plus, if you stay out of boost, you'll get the same mileage if it were N/A. However, the extra power is there for when you need it.

44s might be strong enough depending on tire size and HP. I have a stock 4L with 35s and I've snapped chromos in my front 44 in the rocks.

weather or not the drive train will hold it completely depends on your driving style.
you could make a d30/d35 combo last for years, or you could be snapping axle shafts in d60's...
