My 94 has been acting up with this "engine turns but wont fire" issue. It will only do it sometimes and sometimes it starts after cranking for a while but the the other day it didnt and had to get it towed.

So my engine turns but wont fire, the crank sensor is working or appears to be, when im cranking it, it has spark and just to try it, i disconnected the sensor and no spark. My fuel pressure goes up to about 38psi when the key is on and when it runs, it stays at about 35psi. I dont think its the cam sensor because it would have the same effect as the crank sensor. I replaced the cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Sometimes it starts.....the only time it starts after not starting, is after it sits for a while...... could it be a bad ground? or a computer issue?? any ideas? thanks guys

it could be but it runs pretty good when it does run and it doesnt start hard when it normally starts

 

Sorting out a few issues, all the sensors appear to be working. I have fuel pressure and spark. The other day when it wouldnt start, I let it crank and then pulled a plug and it was dry... I checked the wire from the power dist. block to the ECM and there is connection. I replaced the auto shut down relay and checked the others.

It starts sometimes and not others and doesnt run rough when it does run. The silicone or what ever encapsulates the ECM has quite a few cracks... Is it possible for the ECM to be failing? it seems that this problem has happened more in the last month. I guess that would explain if the injectors didnt fire when they should...just a guess

Any suggestions??
