More problems with old red!
Old red died again on me today... no check engine light, no weird noises, no warning whatsoever. All the lights still work, battery and oil lights flick on when i turn the ignition, doesn't turn over at all. Checked battery connections (battery is new (bought in feb)) and checked all my fuses, headlights do NOT dim when i turn over key... Maybe the problem is ignition switch or ignition coil?

I don't think it died in flight. I think it just won't turn over. I wish people would be more clear with their descriptions.

problem in the past died occasionally during operation, and would not shift correctly. Solution: throttle position sensor replaced.
And Bustedback is correct, this time it did not die in fight. It started up fine, I drove to work, work day was over and tried to start her up to go home...wouldn't turn over.

Found it easy enough, removed the 12mm bolt, loosened the nuts and tried using it as a leverage point to pull the switch off....it turns from side to side very easily but will not release it's death grip from the tranny....pulled and twisted and pulled and cursed it, still can't get it to let go. Any suggestions for magic tools that pull these things off???
Also, tried this when I was taking a break from cursing the NSS to remove itself: http://www.cherokeetalk.com/forum/f8...fication-8827/ All the starter did was click, it wouldn't spin...could this also mean my starter needs to be replaced?

If it won't crank using that trick, it quite possibly is not the NSS at fault. There is a current thread explaining in detail how to wire around the NSS saving your having to go into the PDC and play with the relay. You can also bypass the NSS by using the ancient solution of using a screwdriver for starting and test purposes.
You can also try tapping on the starter (not too heavily) with a hammer or similar and then try to start. Not an absolute test but if it then starts you know problem is likely the starter.
And best simple and quick test is with your meter to test for voltage going to the starter solenoid with key turned to Start.
With all of this, if voltage is getting to the solenoid and battery connections are clean and tight, problem is the starter itself.
