how often do you slide roofs over rocks? wheeling upside down? or just roll a lot im curious? i agree minimal lift with larger tires creates a great low COG but were driving unibody xjs not full frame tjs,cjs, or jks. look at your front fenders they look crinkeld in every pic of your jeep. no talking smack just saying. dove nose the front and comp cut/dove tail the rear.
fenders are crinkled from tree's for the most part, every now and again a rock finds its way up there.
dove nosed and comp cut xj's look terrible imo. would also be illegal in the class I run at the local rockcrawl comp.

the lower cog you have the easier it is to keep the rubber side down. i have been in plenty of situations where being taller would have put me on my lid. its just a more comfortable feeling when out on trails. not to mention the weight distribution benefits.

and unlimited
im in superstock which one of the rules dictates no significant body trimming/mods are allowed with the exception of minor fender trimming to clear larger tires
