Default More lift

my friend is running a 94 xj and it currently has rc 3" kit. 3in springs and add a leaf. He wants to move up to 5" of lift and was thinking about 2" pucks for the front and longer shackles on the rear. What would be the best way to do that and what other parts would he need like control arms etc. Thanks

first welcome to the forum. and next is i would avoid the shackles on top of the add a leaf it will flatten out after a while he needs new leafs for the rear. and on top of that he will probably need a slip yoke eliminator to to get rid of vibes in the rear end from going that high on the stock shaft. the spacers will probably be ok for the front but new springs would be better and you may want to tell him he will need new control arms for the front as well the stock ones cant go that high and provide adequate suspension geometry

thanks for the advice, he is just trying to go as cheap as he can. after reading a bit and some experience of my own im pretty sure he could do the spacers in front with just lower control arms and for the rear he could get a drive shaft from an xj with a d35 rear because the rear shaft is longer on those model's. Do you know of the best and cheapest full leaf pack for the rear? thanks for the help.

yeah bastard pack is the cheapest way to go i got the leafs out of a dodge van 2500 they are the right lenght for the jeep and will give you a good shackle angle you can just mix and match till you find a good setup that works for him

What was your total lift in back from the 2500 springs? What year did you use? Budget lifts FTW!
