Thank you again for clarifying.
it so much about being lean at wot, more like with 703 @39 psi it will be a little bit rich at WOT @49 psi it will be a even more rich.

Most of 99 Jeep came with Jetronic connectors, but since it was a transition year a few came with USCAR connectors. 0280155784 will be a perfect fit to your Jeep.

You have USCAR connectors, your current injectors supply 234cc/min so the right injectors for your Jeep will be 0280155784 (Chrysler part #4669938) which flow 238cc/min and have USCAR connector.

You can find it off eBay for $50 for three sets of 4. Here, here and here.

Another alternative for the 99-up 4.0L is Ford xr3z-a4b (CM4956) which is the newest design and offer even better performance.

You can get 6 NEW injectors for $60 here.

Please help.. I have a 2001 stock 4.0L.. I know the 784's arae good BUT these xr3z-a4b are NEW and the guys store is a 1/2 mile from my house and he said i can pick them up! for some reason NO ONE ON HERE USES OR HAS SHOW UN THEY used them..?? I also see no clip for the bottom of the injector? Does the 2001 Injector setup need a lower AND upper clip? Im doing this upgrade so I want to buy these but i dont want them hanigng in the port holes loose! Anyone out here ever use these?? They are $60 new!! Yet no one with a 2000 or 2001 has used them with any success on here? How about "TheKevin".. he bought them got to point of install and we nver heard from him again.. The store is right down the road from my house too.. Help.. anyone use the xr3z-a4b with any sucess?

I've never seen an injector with a clip on the intake manifold end- only on the ruel rail end. I also never tried the Ford injectors. If the number is right for your application, go for it. For new injectors for $60 a set, I don't see how you can go wrong.

You will never find the answer anyplace on the entire internet.. I ave been looking for days on end.. Not one person has said they tried the XR's and said they worked. I live a 1/2 mile froom the store in Ronkonkoma NY that sells them NEW for 60 bucks too.. They said I can pick them up as well.. I just dont wanna do the work twice if they suck or need two sets of clips?

Im sceptical as to why.. and why anyone here would buy 784's with that post by Rainman stating these New Single hole types are ever better then the 4 Hole neon types.. Yet no one has used it on here!! ??

I just installed the Ford: XR3E 9F593 A4B Motorcraft Part Number: CM4956

for my 2001 Cherokee 4.0L

I DID NOT REMOVE FUEL RAIL
THESE INJECTORS DO NOT USE THE STOCK CLIPNUTS

I completed the job in 1.5 hours start to finish. A monkey with a screwdriver and a pliers could do this job. I DID NOT remove the fuel line from the fuel rail. I was able to rotate the rail a bit upward while connected to fuel line and I removed and installed the new injectors.

The truck runs smoother at idle. Its quick as all hell but it was before as well since I ran that seafoam crap.. That stuff works man!

Anyway, I see very little difference.. At least they work and apparently according to that post at http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=92236 they are the best ones.

I can assure you they work for my 2001 without clipnuts and its an easy job!! DO IT!! You can buy them on the company website as well for 60.00!! Look em up on eBay..

Just because the injector is slotted for clipnuts you cannot assume they will line up correctly on hte 4.0L fuel rail.. In my 2001 I got the suggested single hole atomize spraying injectors. They were slotted TOO HIGH for the clip nuts to fit on.. The popped into the fuel rail by ORING only.. They are snug so i cant see how they would move anyway! eitherway.. do not assume alignement of clipnut slot is correct!! for 2000 and 2001 the XR3E 9F593 A4B suggested by your excellent post does not fit stock clipnuts.. You would have to slot out each injector witha dremmel to get clipnits to fit.. Some of the injectors shown have 2 sets of slots for diffrent applications.. Beware.. Mine do work fine with no clipnuts though Im not impressed.. My stock injectors gave more bang off the line then these..

I just installed 784's in my '99 XJ 4.0 and am noticing that my exhaust pipe is black. I suspect that it's running rich. How long does it normally take for the computer to reset fuel trim?

I also have new injectors and they are doing worse on gas.. how do i tell if it running lean or rich? What is the test.. My old injectors for my 2001 were cleaned prefessionally last year by the dealer according to the guy I bought the truck from.. They run better then the Brand New Fords I got CM4956..

Anyway how to tell if rich? I suspect this is rich
