More budget injector upgrade questions
I know this isn't going to be very helpful, but I just wanted to say that this thread has so much contradicting information that it just confuses the hell out of me!
All I'm trying to do is find a proper replacement injector for my '01 and am having a hell of a time. This link http://www.fuelinjectorconnection.co...&productId=194 seems to be the easiest way to go, but coas' post seems to trash them for possibly being the wrong injector... If the info in the table a few posts above is correct, where can I find one of the three possible injector sets?

as for that link, no part number, no flow info, even the picture is not of the injectors. I don't know what they are selling let alone if it is appropriate. Where I come from a blue demon is a rave party pil.
Most of the injectors mentioned above can be bought reconditioned for about $25 usd each, here:

can anyone tell me why injectors with the part #0280155700 does not fit in my 99 cherokee? There have been a lot of posts within this thread that say they will fit but I bought a set of 8 and the electrical connections on my cherokee and the new injectors are different.

No use in starting another injector thread, so I'll see if I can find some knowledge here. I'm looking to change out the o-rings before I put in my Ford style injectors tomorrow. I was wondering if I need to remove the pintle cap to remove the o-ring at the bottom of the injector. If I do, is it necessary to replace the pintle caps? Sounds like a dumb question, but I just wanna make sure I don't screw them up trying to pry the o-ring over the pintle cap. Thanks in advance.

It just doesn't look like the o-ring is gonna want to roll over the lip of the pintle cap. I've done much harder stuff than this, just don't want to mess it up, so don't think I'm a complete idiot for asking

Alright, sounds good to me. As a matter of fact, the injectors are 3 feet away, so I'll see if they roll off and if they don't, I'm coming back to this thread! Just kidding man, thanks for the help. I also realize I have 2 bonus injectors in case I screw one (or two) up.

I'm talking about the part of the injector that enters the manifold, not the part that goes into the fuel rail. The o-rings on the fuel rail side rolled right off. I just tried rolling the other o-ring off the side that goes in the manifold and popped the pintle cap off, then the o-ring rolled off just fine with no damage to the pintle cap.

lol... yeah both of them... i mean you gotta work it alittle but i never poped a cap... lol... just pinch it till u can grab it and pull it over the cap... but to me thats the same as just rollin off since most o rings this is the easiest way...

That's what I tried to do, but it ended up just popping the cap off. It went back on just as tight as it came off and I don't plan to replace it. The only reason I'm doing the o-rings is because a couple have flat spots and I'd rather spend $10 on o-rings than risk toasting my Jeep due to a fuel leak and hot exhaust manifold.

You can find it off eBay for $50 for three sets of 4. Here, here and here.
Another alternative for the 99-up 4.0L is Ford xr3z-a4b (CM4956) which is the newest design and offer even better performance.
You can get 6 NEW injectors for $60 here.
