Mode switch door/check engine ligt
I had been putting off having the dash removed to fix the a/c only going out the defrost vents - but this week I went ahead with it. The things on the list for service were new/better headlights, put a new evap canister in and get the mode switch door to work.
Picked up our jeep today (2001 cherokee sport). The mechanic said they pulled the dash and found the 'box' which hold the door had a crack in it which prevented the door to work properly. They glued it. It seems to work fine now.
While they were in the dash they noticed that there were evap vacuum hoses which were no longer attached. So they reattached them and we will keep our fingers crossed.
The headlights are some german brand (I should have paid more attention) which weren't cheap ($100 for the pair). I'll have to wait and see if there is an improvement over the old ones.
Total : $250 USD
