Does anybody know where i can get a new fuel pump assembly for my 91 comanche? 18.5 gal tank if it matters. i know a cherokee assembly wont work and ive looked everywhere, i think. thanks.

 

Pretty much everything is interchangeable between the Cherokee and Comanche under the skin, I found several fuel pumps @ rockauto.com for your comanche, same p/n as the cherokee for that year. Is there a reason a Cherokee pump won't fit yours?

 

How it sits in the tank is opposite of a cherokee, I think. The float is on the wrong aide of the pump and/or upside down. Can you post a link to the fuel pump you found? I looked on rockauto. I'll try to post pictures later.

 

this is what i have.... none on the internet are even close to it. its got an airtex e7006 pump. but all the other assemblies dont match.

 

i just pulled up your year Comanche on their site, assumed a 4.0 engine, and scrolled down to fuel pumps. They list several, the part numbers match those they list for a Cherokee.
I don't own a Comanche so I can't verify they actually fit. Seems they should unless there is something different going on.

If your assembly is still good, can you take the pump itself to your local parts place and match it up?

 

Is this what you're looking for? It says it fits base models 91 Comanches with 4 or 6 cylinder engines. Same part number as yours.....although I wouldn't recommend an Airtex pump.

 

just did mine looks identical napa around 100 dollars whole assembly plug and play...

 

I replaced my fuel pump with a airtex pump and it burnt up in 1 night, the next day I went and swapped in the entire airtex fuel pump assembly and it runs like a dream. Not sure if the pump vs. Assembly in the airtext brand are better but it's what I experienced.
