so i scooped up this 1990 2door xj for practically nothing so im giving it a full inspection and find a big empty spot under the hood near the oil filer. the is an existing braket, but i cant quite seem to figure out what was in its place... the it hits me: im missing my primary fuse box! its completely gone and the only remnant is the empty bracket where it was mounted. is this a huge issue or is it just my abs and airbag junk thats gone now?

 

Does your headlights work? I know that fuse is in there.

 

nah, my headlights work fine... low and hi beams. only thing i can figure is that since my xj was the last year they made the renix, perhaps it never had the fuse box under the hood just the mounts for where the box would be located from then after...?

 

Nope... it doesnt have a fusebox there like 91+
It should have 4-5 relays though

yes, they could have ABS
no airbags till 95 though.

 

renix with anti lock never seen one

 

89+ does, IIRC. Just not very common.
