new here but have been reading threads cant find one that will help. i got a 98 xj check engine light said both o2 sensors so i replaced them but when i reset the check engine light off cleared the codes. the jeep will pop throught the air intake box at low rpms lose power adn fall on its face still popping but when i gouge the pedal it goes away then i replaced the idle position sensor. still no helping it new plugs wires cap and button and coil. could any one give any suggestons? i lifted it yesterday 5 inches of coil and rubber lift on the front and aa 3 inch addaleaf with 2 inch block on the rear. i dont want to remove my flares and would like to keep the stock aluminum wheels will a 33 1050 15 tire work without rubbing or will i need to use 33x9,50 tire?

 

You will probably need some wheels with at least 3.5 inches of backspacing. And I have been having that same problem with my engine.

 

Doesn't do it at idle but just when you are moving at 1500 to 2500 rpms? runs smooth then starts jerking out of nowere? if so then I would check your crank position sensor or the knock sensor. when I bouht mine last year it was doing that and the crank sensor was bad. thursday it started again and when I crawled under to take a look the knock sensor was disconnected. haven't driven it since I fixed it to see if that was the prob.
