Default Miscellaneous Gear questions and 3.55ring a nd pinoin sets for sale

Just a couple of quick questions guys concerning my new 4.56 gears im in the middle of putting in my D30 and 8.25.
- Has anyone had problems with the ring rubbing on the diff case upgrading to the 4.56 gears from the 3.55's? I was noticing the larger radius (maybe a little under half an inch wider). Just wanted to prevent a problem before installing the cover, possibly putting a rubber spacer on the cover to bring it out to get clearance.
-Also what is the best gear oil that you all recommend? I have used Mopar and Royal Purple gear oils in the past but want to make the right choice on this oil change.

And last of all does any of you guys need a stock 3.55 ring and pinion set, bearings included? As I said before they are for a D30 standard and 8.35.

$200 for set and am willing to ship em.

I've never seen spacers for the cover plate for sale so I'm guessing its not a common issue; I can't comment tho.

I am interested in that 3.55 gear set. I've got a WTB thread up for a set. shoot me an PM with some detailed pictures and a shipped price to Watkinsville GA 30677. What year is your Jeep?

it depends on the case machineing. Some touch others not. You can buy one of those beefy covers that certainly will give more clearance.

...a doubt. Did you change the carrier? you need the 3.77&up carrier to mount 4.56s..
