Default might have gottin power steering fluid on my belt

my serpinten belt started making a noise AFTER I changed my power steering fluid. I might have dripped some onto the belt. Before I changed the fluid the engine was quiet and the belt didnt squeal... this is what I get for doing something myself darn noobs

anyway what should I do

i had the same thing happen take it off and clean well should help/ stop it

ya i did and cleaned it really good and the noise went away

im ok with tools and all but how hard is it to take the belt off I know there is a how to thread on replacing the belt on this forum but is it pretty easy?

oh and what should I clean it with Ill probably have to clean the pullys as well

its realy not all that difficult. there is a bolt kinda on the underside od the power steering that you loosen and the whole pump moves about an inch to loosen everything up thenjust slip it off carefully.
to clean it i would use a good degreaser or somthing like it. i like purple power very versitle.
then to put it back on just weave it back there should be a sticker under the hood to show you

it might elp to have someone there with you that doesnt mind getting dirty to hold the belt in place youre weaving it and re tightening the bolt under the power steering. if you go to an auto zone they should help you do it at least at mine they did.

i think thats about all you need to know

just get a can of engine cleaner and spray it on there and wash it off
