MD fender flare laws?
Is anyone out there from MD or know the laws for tires sticking out beyond your fender flares. I;m getting ready to maybe purchase some new rims and tires. Judging by my estimates, the new set will probably stick out 2.5 - 3 inches beyond my factory fender flares. I will be driving it everyday, and I don't want the cops bugging me all the time. If I have to, I may need to look for a wheel with more backspacing. Thanks for any info

Im not from there and dont know the rules, but I do know its overall a better Idea to not have your tires stick out so much. I do know its illegal here, because it can be a hazard.

I know it's illegal here in Wisconsin. I've built several Baja Bugs in my time. And I was always getting stopped for having 1/2 cut away fenders. And I'm not quit sure how the Hot Rodders in T-Buckets, Or High Boys. (With the open wheels) Get away with it. I never see them pulled over.
