Max Width under stock fenders

Max Width under stock fenders
First, if this question, or experience, is on the forum already I apologize, I tried searching but couldn't find anything applicable.
I will be getting a RE3.5 lift, it recommends 4/4.5backspacing.
I plan on running 31x10.5x15s.
I do not want to change the fenders, but can't have the tires stick out past the fenders.
So question is:
What backspacing on a 15x8 rim can fit under stock fenders on an 95 4door XJ?
I have the option of buying some cheap AR136 rims right now, but they have 3.75bs and I dont want to buy them if i cant use them, as I dont want to cut or buy wider flares.
