Max a/c or heat only comes out defrost and lowers volts

Max a/c or heat only comes out defrost and lowers volts
Hi I have a 91 jeep xj 4.0 L when I turn on my mac a/c or heat it only comes out the defrost vent but when I change it to vents it comes out. Any ideas? Also when I turn on my climate control my bolts drop a lot, about half of what they normally are.

As for the volts, you may have a weak alternator, need to service your battery cables, refresh ground points in the engine bay.
