Does anyone know a rattle can paint that matches close to the oem Flame Red colour?

There are companies that sell spray cans to match automotive factory colors, but they're pricier than a standard rattle cans. Are you looking for a match or a close enough?

If you want to pay the price you can even buy a can of the exact color (faded) if you wish......Or go to a dealership they sell the exact colors.

Go to a real automotive paint store. Have them use their hand tool to "read" your paint near the area you want to touch up.

They can make a custom mix and inject it into a spray can.

Be aware that most reds darken with age, so it won't be the exact color now that it was when it was new.

I'm in the US.
I'm just looking for a temporary paint job. A gray header panel on a red XJ looks a little weird. I plan to paint the whole thing over later but still have some body repairs to do.

Leave it alone, prep & shoot the entire vehicle in one shot.

Paint it black for that custom look.
