Looking for a mat sensor. All the parts places I've tried dont carry it. Dealer says discontinued. Any one know ware to get a new one? I want to avoid a used one if I can. Thanks in advance.

you have a few options:
1) find one in a boneyard
2) use a Coolant Temperature Sensor - exact same specs and function, just a bit slower response.
3) Source one through GM. Fortunately, it is a standard GM part (most RENIX sensors are,) so you can source one from a speed shop or somesuch. http://www.injector.com/cart/pc/view...&idcategory=12
(you may have to switch out the connectors)

also according to this thread, it's beneficial to move it to the airbox instead of the intake tube:
