I have a 1995 jeep cherokee 5 speed manual and the tranny went out finally i'm about to take it out is there any tips or tricks that will make it easier. Like take the transver case off first or drop it all one piece with the tranny.

i dropped them both at the same time (tranny and t-case). exhaust bolts might give you little trouble if they were as rusty as mine. good luck.

are you rebuilding it yourself?

 

i drop both of them at the same time and didnt have to take the exhaust off i have a buddy selling me a tranny but its out of a 1990 cherokee will it work?

 

what trannys are they? you'd have to make sure the input/output shafts are the same
