I won't guarantee that it's safe, and I wouldn't take any chances on something as critical as a transmission. But as long as the Syncromesh is safe for yellow metals it should be fine. Redline isn't THAT expensive, considering its meant to last 50,000+ miles on a fill $40 is a very reasonable price. there are a couple Amsoil dealers here on the site who could probably get you a good deal on some gear oil through them.

How many quarts does the ol pukegoat take. im on a bit of a budget after catching crabs... and shrimp last weekend in the gulf and im not wanting to spend anymore than i have too.
