Manual to Auto swap. 93 Jeep Cherokee Help
I just completed my Project XJ and Before the build the Jeep had a AX15 and its hard to find another so I'm wondering what its going to take to convert to auto AW4. Anybody help me on this?
The AW4 is coming out of a 89 4.0 XJ. Installing into a 93 4.0 XJ.

I've heard you'll have to switch out a lot of the parts including the driveshaft and several sensors. Most people don't consider it worth the hassle.

Ditto, you have to swap driveshaft because of the spline change. 89 has 21 splines, and your 93 should have 23 splines. You also need to swap a few sensors to make it all work right. Not worth it IMO. Just get a correct year trans and call it good.
