I have an 88' with a Puegout 5-speed. Wondering if it is simple to swap to an automatic?

Just wondering, Thinking the end result would be to make it into a rock crawler. havent done this before. I know that that trans, is hard to come by.

 

I am in the middle of that exact swap right now.. actually not as hard as u might think with the right parts.. I am having some trouble with the auto right now but as far as the swap goes I say go for it! I am using my phone now so when I use my computer I will post up some more details

 

im looking to do the opposite I want a stick again anybody down for a trade haha
