Manifold question for 1999 Classic
I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic and I need to replace the manifold. I know I should have probably went with a nicer aftermarket brand, but I found a stock manifold on ebay. Shipping and all was about 44.00. Honestly, can't afford 160.00 or more for a header and I also can't afford the 400.00 or so it is going to cost to put in on. I AM NOT a mechanic in any shape or form. The only thing I've really had to do to the Jeep is put a starter on it. That was easy enough.
So, my question is, just how hard of a project will this be? Is this something I should try to do myself, or save up the money and just get put on by someone who knows what they are doing? I've done a few checks on Google and it looks to be quite the task. Any answers would be appreciated. Also, since this is stock manifold, is there anything a person can do to "beef" it up to avoid future cracks? Heavier welds or something? thanks and have a great day.

Read through it a few times. It's really not that bad if you have the right tools. I know yours doesn't fall between 91-98 but it's the same process.
