Alright SO this is going to seem like a weird idea however i got to thinking-what if i reinforce my stock bumper?
Since my bumper was ripped off of its mounts due to using it as a recovery point...
... The bumper is in perfect shape, i literally just ripped bumper mounts at the frame side(no frame damage). I have access to all sorts of just scrap 3/8"-1/4" steel, plate, box, tube, channel. None of it is very big(big enough to make a real bumper) but its all free.... So what i make new 6-7 bolt bumper mounts and then basically make a little sub frame out of all of the scrap steel and then mount the stock bumper over that. Do you think that would be alright?
So basically in short, make a 1/4" bumper out of scrap steel but since it wont look that good i will mount the stock bumper over it to give it the strength of a heavy duty bumper but still have the factory look.
Bumpers are $10 at our junk yard if something did happen to the "skin"
what do you all think? lol sorry for the long winded post...
here is what happened to the mounts

i love detours back bone products! looked into them for a long time.... But this is free..... just have to essentially pay for welding supplies lol

Lol at the bumper/frame tie ins. Anyhow, you're pretty much asking how can you make a beer can stronger, there really isn't too much you can do to it beside just overlap it or replace it.
If you have access to a welder I would just spend $50 on plate and build your own, otherwise run without a front bumper.

If you have the fab skills and equiptment, reinforcing the bumper and adding REAL recovery mounts will be easy. Use the Detours design as a template. Thats what you need to do get achieve what you want.
When you go this route you're working around the stock bumper, so unless you actually like and want to keep it you're better off just building one of your own entirely.

I might make some cardboard templates tonight....
I have been thinking more and more on this for the past couple minutes and i will make frame mounts that extend way far back on the uni-body then come out thru the bumper and connect the two sides with square or channel as close to the bumper as possible then weld some plate together to make a shackle attachment....
Hmmm well see what my templates look like then i will decide if i want to do it...
