So I thought it would be an awesome idea to put in a overhead console in my 93 cherokee. I had looked up plenty of stuff and figured I could do it. Now the problem was that I didn't have the harness connection. I decided to try wiring it through my keyless entry because I dont use it anyway so I wouldnt miss it.

So I cut the harness off the wires to the keyless entry.
I then unplugged my front dome light, spliced its wires to connect with the overhead console wires middle map lights.
I did the same with the front console map lights to my keyless entry wires.
I got power to the lights... thats it.

I put the bracket up and decided to call it a day and hang the console up just with the lights working.

I did this and tried the lights, no power.
I decided to leave it alone since it was up for now.

I came back to it later and the lights still didnt work.
So I decided to just take it down and leave it off until I had more time to fiddle with it.

Thats when I noticed the MAJOR problem.

When I decided to leave for some grub, I saw that my radio wasnt getting any power... and my power locks werent working.

I checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood. ALL good, no problems.

I thought the battery might need to charge from being unhooked for a while.
Nope, I drove around and nothing changed.

One weird thing though is that my radios blue screen would come on but no words or numbers and it was soooper dim. Also when I pressed any button on the radio the dimmed blue screen turned off. ???

I have no idea what is going on and I am very pissed at myself.

Any feedback on why my radio and power locks arent working. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know.
