I fully concur. The cam bearings are the ones that get washed out first in 00-01 XJs with the cracked 0331 heads as the coolant trickles down the holes in the lifters from the crack (between # 3 and 4 boss). This also explains the subsequent low oil pressure with no accompanied knocking noise from the bottom end. It's usually difficult to affirmatively prove since most folks do a full rebuild and replace all the bearings when everything is apart.
