I'll assume you mean you found a HPd30.

Unbolt lp d30, bolt hp d30 in. Assuming they're matching gear ratio's.

That's a crazy good price. I bought one for $125 and I had to pull it myself.

VERIFY the gear ratio before you install it. Your transfer case will not be a happy camper if you don't.

If there's no tag on the outside u can pull the cover and the ring will be stamped with the ratio

Look on the ring gear it will say 11-39 or something like that, I did a thread about it like a year ago called easy way to hell your gears. I'm on my phone or I would post the link for you. And I did a HP to lot everything bolted up no prob, just watch your drive shaft Anker sure it still has room to compress.

picked it up and it has the same ratio, holler.

can anyone decode the other numbers or let me in on what they mean?

the dif cover has:
40869
081-5
REV-R
050394

and the tag has:
52069194
3.55
610502-7

im not even sure what year it was off of, it was crashed bad and i didnt get a chance to see the id badge or anything. no vac disconnect either. im going to turn down the rotors too and try to keep them as spares. the dif cover also has sealant on it that is clean...does that mean it was apart not to long ago? or will that red sealant stay clean for awhile?
any info is appreciated
