Exclamation "Low Washer" light

Only it's not. I added a little but it was only half down.

I thought: "bad electrical connection." So as a disciple of cruiser54 I carefully cleaned up the contacts in the plug on top of the washer fluid bottle, but the light still comes on.

The "float" must have sunk. So I unplugged it, and lo and behold - the light stays off.

So the moral of the story is you can sometimes fix things by taking them apart and not putting them back together

Mine was the same... Little under 3/4 full and the stupid light came on. Took the bulb out of the dash, I don't see why Chrysler thought that was so critical that it warranted a dash indicator. Hoods should be open often enough to know where it is anyway.

It's a design flaw, sensor is mounted too high on the bottle. I unplugged it.

While on the subject, if you have a rear wiper/washer, the hose can be disconnected from hatch and fluid will squirt ten feet backwards when button is pushed. I use plain water.

I've lost track of how many times I've thought of rigging a remote switch to my washer pump. Works well for tailgaters also.

I'd wear out my horns inside of a week... they're EVERYWHERE.

Propane truck?! I will never forget fire training for propane. Huge fireball when ignited, then we had to advance with fog nozzles, forcing the fire away enough to turn a valve off while flames roar in our face. And without breathing apparatus, instructor wanted us to "feel it".

Never really had a fire issue with it.

Worst I've had is taking my fill nozzle off an underground tank and the filler valve broke internally allowing the pressure to vent like a jet engine. Tank had just been filled to capacity at 450 gallons. .

Run!
I guess it vented and dissipated before meeting an ignition source.

Nope. I fought it. Used my Gerber to push the broken part of the valve around so it would seat.

Is there an official list somewhere of all the unnecessary crap that you can disconnect on a Cherokee ????

Back when we were engaged, my wife had a 1960-something VW Beetle which she rolled off an embankment. She was okay but it pretty well totaled the car although it still ran fine. So I took the doors off, and the rest of that summer we drove it all around on the national forest as a dune buggy. It had no windshield either

See where this is going ...?

So, whenever we had an unsuspecting friend going along with us for a joyride in the mountains, we would duck and then push the windshield washer button for a little good natured face washing

Heh. I installed a car phone for a guy that had a real train horn (two horns actually) installed under the hood of his F-350. Had an air tank installed under the bed, and man was that loud!

They seem to be pretty good at disconnecting us from our money!
