low oil pressure at idle

if your jeep has a lot of miles on it your bearings could be worn out, but since you said that it was right after an oil change thatd be ruled out. the sending unit could have been damaged and/or they put a low weight oil in it. oil gets thinner as it warms up.

I had this same problem on the same year cherokee. I replaced the oil pressure sensor that is on the side of the block right above the oil filter and it fixed the problem.

From Purchase the Check Guage Light On...Dash Guage NOT working...Relaced with After Market & Still NO Good! The Auto Elect Replaced with NON After Market & its 100% Working the Guage .....& Check Guage Light Is NOW Off On the Dash...Oil Pressure is Working On the Dash.. pisces3737

If it was still doing this after 4 years I'm sure the jeep is dead. lol Its hard to remember I do it all the time. Posting to old dead threads haha.
