Default low budget axle upgrades

I have a 92 XJ and looking to do some low budget axle upgrades.

With the dana 30 I've heard that there are some junk yard upgrades as for new shafts and such that are stronger than what is in there now, for the rear I know i'm going to ditch the 35 and hopefully get a 29 spline 8.25 with some sort of lunch box locker in it

get yukon axle shafts from ebay there cheaper than bying a 8.25 and in my eyes ive seen them survive: jumping,36s with locker,35 with lockers, and boulders the size of cars

some Dana 5-760x u-joints for your Dana 30.

upgrade your 35 to a Chrysler 8.25 29-spline (97+ XJ) fairly cheap

Find an 87' or maybe if you are lucky an 88' with the tow package. they have a Dana 44 in the rear.

Also find a 4cyl. automatic. they have 4.10 or 4.56 gears if i am not mistaken.

If you have the smaller joint axles up front, the bigger joints (newer xj's) will not fit, you will need to swap the entire inner/outer shafts. Its not just a u joint swap.

Any ABS XJ or any 95+ XJ should have the larger 297 ujoint axleshafts.

You cannot put a 297 ujoint in a smaller 260 jointed axleshaft.
