Hey guys,

I have been cruising these forums forever and haven't seem to come across my exact problem, lets see what happens.

I have a 2001 xj stock that has a really loud squeak/rubbing/moaning sound when I turn sharp at slow speeds. I looked underneath and it appears to be coming from the lower bushing on the pitman arm, I think. Is that an easy fix? Or even a common problem? The bushing looks old but not destroyed it is just annoying as hell!

It is definitely not power steering related and it is certainly not cold out.

What do y'all think?

will you hear the noise if you turn the wheels while sitting still and engine running? Or just while moving? If itll do it while sitting still, have a friend turns the wheels while you listen and observe. Go from there...

Have you got big tires and/or aftermarket wheels that are hitting something under there at lock?
