loud noise in rear
Hello everyone, i have a 1998 xj 4.0 and its a manual.
Every time i put the jeep in gear and give it gas, there is this loud medium tone drone noise in the rear, i almost think its coming from the rear pig.
Any ideas?

driveshaft u-joints are bad most likely.
Test them by grabbing the driveshaft on each side of each joint, and twist. IF there is ANY movement, replace the u-joint. Replace both while you are at it since the other won't be far behind.
