loud drone @ 60+
LONG STORY
So i bought an 01 cherokee sport from a well known dealer and have been having issues since day 1. The truck is completely stock and only has 70k on her. What happens is once i get up to 60 a loud droning or howling noise is present. Accelerating or not the noise is the same constant volume. Had a warranty on the truck.. dealer replaced both front and rear carrier bearings and pinion seals.. problem still present. Dealer refuses to do any more work seeing as i bought the truck april 6th and my warranty is now up. The truck has literally been at the dealer longer than in my posession. I searched for answers and have had everything checked... wheel bearings...brakes...u joints..everything seems to be ok. Please help!

that really sucks man, i have been thinking about this since i saw your post cause i am having the same prob at 80 kms/hr, but i havent started replacing parts yet. You have replaced almost all the rotating parts by now.... i though carrier bearing for sure but apparently not, im stumpped in your case.
maaaaybe you need to balance your front wheels... how about your gears (ring mainly). Do ring gears come with any sort of balancing weights on them, chipped tooth or perhaps the carrier assembly is out of balance. forgive my ignorence if i am out to lunch, just throwing out suggestions...

Most likely just tire noise. Dealer tires are always really crappy and loud. Truck's old enough so whoever sold it to the dealer could have sold it with bad tires, thus the dealer would've put a new set on.
What kind of tires are they?
My 15in A/T's get loud at 50-55
