Unhappy Loud clicking/grinding while turning

i just bought a 92 laredo and was told it had a bad wheel bearing. so not really thinking just needing to drive it i changed the front left hub assmbly and as you probably figured the noise is still there. if i put it in drive and roll forward and turn the wheel the more i turn the louder it gets and at full turn it binds to a stop and as you turn back the other way it gets better till you start to turn the other way and it does the same thing. i dont know much about the cherokee i only have owned cj and yj.all ideas and suggestions will be researched thanks guys

Get a friend to turn the wheel while your in the front. Listen to the steering box, u joint, linkages etc. Also check for shiny metal. If anything looks shiny while in other areas it is not then suspect some rubbing.

I seem to have the same problem, but ONLY when in part time 4wd, when in full time 4wd it doesnt seem to be so bad. would you suggest the same diagnosis? If not then what do you think it might be? Thanks

Definetly go through your you joints and check for play in them, possibly front bearings but id go for the joints or check the half axle. That'll do it to, JPWRANGLER73 pretty much pointed that out lol
