So were the faulty floor mats, which caused unintended acceleration.

Good. Could have been a bad anti-drainback valve on the filter. A little cold start noise once in while ain't unusual in a 4.0. A lifter might have bled down....sometimes after changing oil types debris can get lodged under the lifter check ball.

And this is for crimmy......What gives you the credentials to play backyard chemist? Make life easy, there are highly educated professionals that have already made that decision for you.
