my 90 xj wont get up to speed on take offs. the tranny is slipping now but before it wouldnt take off that fast. the only way i get it moving is pedal to the metal and even then it wants to bog down.

 

Well mabey it was like that as your tranny was grenading and now it seems to have finally let go. If you dont think it is transmission, I would start fuel and electronic. See if you have a bad fuel injector or 2 or fuel filter. Check/ replace your Throtle positioning sensor, Idle Air Control Valve, full tune up, O2 sensors, check your cats to see if they are clogged, missing or torn vaccuum lines. Good Luck!!

 

ill try some of those i just bought it not to long ago. it has losts of problems and i want to fix it back up because jeeps are the best plus i need to learn some where how to fix things
