Default lost key fob

ok im looking at buying a 95 xj, but the chap who owns it has lost the remote key fob.
i know jeep can supply them but is there a fast way of bypasssing the system so i can start her and drive her home?????

you need to lock the doors and get out of the vehicle. Shut the door. Use the key to unlock the door. Alarm should turn off. Try both front doors.

Unless this is not the key that the truck came with, in which case...you're screwed and need to get a key programmed.

yea thats the problem, its the emegancy key incase you lock your keys in it??
so it does need to go to a dealers then hmmmm

Yea Guy told me The jeep sat and wont start now... I didnt buy the story.. bought the jeep tho going into it knowing it might need a motor.... yes #6 piston half gone....So dont belive what seller is always telling you....

but wont they need re coding by the dealer or is it possible to do yourself?

if its a 95 then the keys arent chipped. i know this trick works on zj's but have no idea if it would work on a xj

I was told you could do it yourself

As I recall you turn the key to the RUN position, then hold the unlock for 30sec?

I thinks that's it

I looked them up to get for myself some places provide instructions with them

i think this is for a 99 grand but it should be similar just google cherokee keyless entry you should find it somewhere
