Default loses power when turning RIGHT

95 cherokee, drives fine except when i turn right it'll lose power as i straighten out...sometimes it'll stall.

i'm baffled, wtf could it be?

Sounds like a fuel issue with the pump / pickup in the tank, fuel sloshing away from the pump Id assume.

i just replaced the fuel pump, maybe i put something back wrong

i do smell fuel at times when driving and my fuel gauge stopped working

by the way, if i turn right and put it into neutral then back into drive it's fine... yeh it's weird

there's ur sign!! pull ur pump back out and make sure its installed correctly. bet thats ur prob.

my jeep stalls out around right hand turns...but only when i have less than a quarter of a tank. my fix... i keep it fueled above quarter of a tank.

so i filled the tank this morning, an the stalling went away... so i'll have to keep it above a quarter tank of gas

so you figured out is was a bad pump install?

did you pull the tank?


if you didnt fix the problem, how are you ever gonna know if you have less than a 1/4 tank? are you just gonna say "when it stalls, i know i need gas".

i would pull the pump back out, esp. if you smell gas fumes. i saw a car in the parking lot of starbucks go up in flames 3 nights ago because the owner said it had a very small fuel leak. he told me he could smell it but not see it and it had been that way for years.

just lookin out for ya man.....have a fire extinguisher in your jeep?
