So the "no start", "runs then quits" saga goes on. My shop is now stumped and has no (affordable) clue for me. My next step is to chase each wire.

Gonna need a good wiring diagram. But it seems these are not easy to find the good ones. ANYONE? Downloads are great, But hand held are good too.

A FSM is your best bet.
Cruiser's site has a '90 and '93 FSM, not sure if there even is a seperate 92.

Also not sure if allowed to link to Cruiser54's site for the FSM's on this here site, but you'll work it out.

Those would contain the best diagrams and only ones you need, so I'm not sure what you're after then

 

Not to seem mystical about this problem as many others have the experience of the 4.0's just shutting down without warning. My 92 Cherokee has not run reliably since March 22. We've gone down the rabbit hole with money and parts. I did have an event recently. After pulling the IAC plug, I started the engine and as expected it "idled" at about 2000rpm During this time I heard the engine bobble, like it was going to shutdown. The 2000rpm inertia kept the engine spinning then It continued running normally again. This event is repeatable. A signal is dropping, then reconnecting. If I can get a DVM on some of the signals going to ignition or fuel circuits, maybe the problem can be resolved.
